Registration has opened for the popular annual swimathon in Liskeard.

The event, set to take place on Saturday, November 18, raises funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Last year, 70 swimmers took part in the event, including teams from local primary schools and youth groups, as well as Liskeard’s mayor and members of the town council.

Participants in the swimathon raise sponsorship, and can nominate a charity to receive 40 per cent of the cash, with the remaining 60 per cent going to the British Heart Foundation.
