Purple footprints appearing around Liskeard are leading to this year’s Relay for Life.
Various shops in the town centre have put the footprints in their windows to get people talking – and encourage them to sign up to the relay, which will take place on May 27.
This year will be the 10th anniversary of the event in Liskeard and the organising committee are pulling out all the stops, said member Katie Palmer.
‘We chose the footprints because one of our mottos is “When your feet get tired, walk with your heart”,’ she said.
‘We will be out and about in Liskeard tomorrow (Saturday) morning so look out for us if you would like to sign up.’
Relay for Life sees teams of friends and families walk or run around a track for 24 hours to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
With live music, fun fancy dress laps, and entertainment for supporters and participants, the event in Liskeard is the only one of its kind in Cornwall.
Last year’s event raised almost £21,000.
