Ideas are being sought from the Liskeard community on how best to spend a gift of £500 from developer Persimmon Homes.

The building firm has asked that the money be used to improve sports facilities around Addington, where it has a new development.

The Town Forum, the public platform for residents to express their views on issues affecting Liskeard, has launched the ‘Active Addington’ project.

The forum would like to hear residents’ ideas on how best to use the limited funding, such as a sports organisation that needs some help, a team that could do with some new kit, organising a sports day or making a contribution to something more sustainable, such as a new playing pitch.

The forum has already enlisted the help of manager Brett Price and his team at Lux Park Leisure Centre and Liskeard School and Community College to come forward with ideas.
