The Liskeard Constitutional Club presented the Liskeard and District Marie Curie fund-raising group with a cheque for £2,200 which they had raised as their charity of the year.

The money will help provide specialist nursing for people who need care and support through terminal illness.

A spokesman for the Marie Curie group said: ‘We are extremely grateful for their support and generosity.’
