A series of weekly ‘pop-up cafes’ will be running in Liskeard this summer holiday with the aim of helping families on low incomes.

The cafes will be taking place at the Scout Hut in Castle Park and are being run by the Real Junk Food project, in partnership with Liskeard Community Action.

Nutritious, tasty meals will be provided using surplus food from local supermarkets – and families will be encouraged to pay only what they feel they can afford.

The cafe is set to take place on each Thursday in August, starting this week (August 4), and meals will be served between midday and 2pm.
