Bastille, the chart topping British Indie pop band, commissioned Saltash artist Nikki Taylor to produce sculptures for their current world tour.

Lead singer Dan Smith, keyboardist Kyle Simmons, guitarist and bassist Will Farquarson and drummer Chris Wood asked Nikki to produce two sculptures for their Wild Wild World Tour.

‘They had created the set designs incorporating two wire men and they contacted me to be the artist to make them,’ explains Nikki. 

‘I was thrilled to be asked to make these two life-size wire mesh sculptures. 

‘The figures are two friends named Luke and Rhys, after the two fellow artists that posed for me. Luke is the one looking downwards thoughtfully and Rhys is looking to the side, either at Luke or not, depending on how the mood and situation takes them.’
