A Polperro man plans to walk the length of Hadrian’s Wall later this month to bring medical aid to the war-torn Syrian city of Aleppo.

James Overton is the Cornwall and Plymouth representative of Refugee Aid Network (RAN), an organisation set up to help the victims of persecution and war by providing food, clothing and medical supplies.

Around £5,000 worth of medical items have already been sent to the Syrian capital by RAN, says James, but more is always needed.

James will be setting off on his 84-mile hike on Saturday, October 29.
