More than 30 cars were stopped and checked during a police operation to tackle anti-social driving on Wednesday night. Liskeard police put Operation Bulge into action after receiving complaints from residents in the town about 'boy racers'. It took place between 8pm and 10pm and included officers and special constables from Liskeard and Looe as well as a traffic unit from Bodmin. They issued 15 fixed penalty notices for various traffic offences including speeding. Three of these will result in the drivers getting points on their licence. Further operations are planned for the future.
