Plans are in place to improve the cycle network and footpaths in a town - and the public is being asked to give their views.
In Saltash, CORMAC intend to bring in new cycle lanes and widen existing footways in North Road, Station Road, Fore Street, Lower Fore Street, Culver Road, Victoria Road and Wesley Road.
Cornwall Council hopes that more people will use their bikes for short commutes and social trips as a result of the improvements.
A spokesperson the Council said: ‘The aim is to deliver real advantages over the use of the car for short local trips by being convenient, safe, direct and comfortable.
‘The primary objective is to improve the environment for cyclists but also to help facilitate pedestrian movement.’
Comments on the proposals must be submitted by Sunday (January 6). To see a map of the area and full details of the plans visit www.cornwall.gov.uk/TrafficConsult, click on the online consultation finder, and look for ‘Saltash Walking and Cycling Facilities.’
