A Liskeard pub that has stood empty for seven years could now be turned into flats.
The owner of the Fountain Hotel, Russell Peake, is applying for permission to convert the Grade II listed building into three apartments.
The Fountain, thought to date to the mid 19th century, was once a thriving public house.
The owner, who bought the building when it was already empty, originally intended to reopen it as a pub.
However, this idea is now ‘unviable’, says Mr Peake’s agent, Scott and Company.
