Cornwall planners are to consider a full application for eight new homes in Callington.
The proposal is for a derelict builder’s yard, currently used as an informal car park, on land west of Church Street in a strip of land between Zaggy Lane and a cluster of commercial premises - it would have a newly formed access on to Church Street.
The plans are for a small portion of a site which was previously granted planning permission for 68 dwellings in 2014 but the planning permission lapsed because no work took place. Since then an application for ten homes was submitted but it was withdrawn for ‘technical reasons’ which the applicant Churchill Property Group say have now been addressed.
There would be six semi-detached two bedroomed dormer bungalows and two detached three-bedroomed homes with a loft room on the site together with 18 car parking spaces. They will be finished in white render with hanging natural slate roofs.
