An unusual view of the Mediterranean Biome has won photographer Flick Cowley a Costa Rican getaway for two as part of the Eden Project’s Twitter and Instagram photo competition. 

Eden gave visitors a chance to show off their creativity for the chance to win a nine-day trip around remote islands of the Caribbean coast, courtesy of Tribes Tailormade Travel. 

Flick’s image ’Bench of Biomimicry’ was awarded top prize among more than 13,000 entries. 

Photographer Stuart Thomas was highly commended for his image of two baby roul rouls – otherwise known as crested partridges - in a standoff against each other in the Rainforest Biome. 

The competition ran from May to September 2016 and entrants were asked to either Instagram or tweet a photo which included the hashtag #edenphotocomp.
