PHOTOS of loved ones lost to COVID-19 will be projected onto the walls of a building during a commemorative service planned in Saltash.
Town Councillor Gloria Challen has teamed up with Andy and Julie Rance at the Livewire Youth Project to stage the event, with a date yet to be confirmed.
“The pandemic has killed over 100,000 people in the UK,” said Gloria.
“We feel that although there has been national coverage of those that died, locally there has been very little recognition of the suffering and great loss of loved ones.
“Livewire’s outer walls have been used on several occasions to project photos and images during commemoration events, and it seemed fitting to use the building again for such tributes.”
After first announcing the plans, the volunteers have received photos and details of people whose families would like to see them included in the tribute.
