The Saltash Youngstagers are into their final rehearsals for Peter Pan, the show they will be performing at Burraton Community Centre over the four nights of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 29, 30, 31 and April 1, with a matinee on the Saturday.

This will be the group’s 36th show in 26 years under director and founder Marilyn Grose.

She will be assisted by Mike Snook, Neil Bailey, Hilary Fedrick and Sammie Ball. Maureen Manley is the wardrobe mistress and Russ Manley will be stage manager.

Heading up the young cast will be Ryan Bailey and Christina Hicks in the title roles of Peter Pan and Wendy, with John and Michael Darling being played by Danny Burkitt and Toby Irons, and Tyler Stapleton filling two roles as Captain Hook and Mr Darling. Tinkerbell is played by Honey Sullivan, while Naomi Hargadon plays Mrs Darling, Cameron Avis plays Nanna the dog, Ruben James plays Smee the pirate and Josh Avis stars as Starky.

Organisers say the show is challenging both technically and artistically, but the Youngstagers are rising to the occasion and looking forward to entertaining their audiences.
