A replica Olympic flame has been travelling around Cornish schools and last week Quethiock Primary became the 51st school to receive it.
Pupils from Quethiock then took the torch to St Martin's C of E School in Liskeard, and a group of children from there ran it through the town to Hillfort Primary School.
The relay then continued with the torch being taken by pupils from Hillfort to Liskeard School and Community College. On its journey the torch has also visited St Cleer Primary School who took it to St Neot Primary School.
At St Neot an Olympic assembly was held before the torch was fixed to Mrs Santa's decorated tractor for a novel journey to Dobwalls Primary School, waved on its way by all the pupils.
Engraved
The replica torch is the idea of St Breock Primary School. It is being photographed with pupils at each school and the photograph is then emailed to St Breock which is creating a special book.
At the end of its journey the replica torch will be engraved with the name of each school it has visited and will be kept, possibly at The Eden Project, as part of the Olympic legacy.
