AN EXTENSIVE archive of photos held by the Liskeard and District Museum will provide inspiration for the third in a series of talks revealing the stories behind some of the town’s buildings.
Questions relating to photos published here will be explored: the Sanger’s Circus arrives in town, but where was the Big Top pitched? Who is the well-known butcher among the onlookers admiring the Stanley steam car? And who are the well dressed ladies on the scaffold above the Bookshop on The Parade?
Museum volunteer Brian Oldham will be revealing all the answers during his talk ‘Even more historic tales behind Liskeard’s buildings’ which is set to take place on Thursday (July 5 ) from 7.30pm in the Public Hall’s Long Room.
