VILLAGERS were delighted to queue up at the till at a new farm shop near St Cleer.

The shop at the former Horizon Egg Farm on Bakers Hill has been launched by local residents Nigel and Tina Lapthorne.

A weekday collection service is being offered for anyone who may find it difficult to get to the shop, which lies some way out of the village centre.

Customers who place their order by phone or email between 7am - 2pm can collect their shopping the next morning between 9.15 and 10.15am at Open Doors in St Cleer.

The Lapthornes say that they will consider weekend collections too, if there is demand.

The couple say they also hope to install a Post Office at the shop - and there are longer term plans for a tea room and soft play barn at the site.
