A new dance class in Liskeard is offering the joy of movement and creative expression – regardless of age or ability.

Local dancer Lois Taylor is working with dance company Shallal to provide the sessions on Thursday mornings at the Liskerrett Centre.

‘I am so excited and pleased that Shallal are in Liskeard,’ said Lois.

She added: ‘Their classes offer great music and freedom to move as much or as little and however you want and can, meaning everyone can take part. Being in a Shallal class soon feels like being part of a family, it is so supportive and fun’

A spokesperson for the group said: ‘We hope to develop the reach of the work and welcome everyone, however vulnerable or unsure they are about moving.

‘Some participants go on to perform and share with others what they enjoy doing, some enjoy the regular classes, while others dip in and out when they can.’
