A new bus service connecting communities around Callington to Plymouth will be launched in September.
The news has had a particular welcome in St Dominick, which had no longer had a service to and from the city. Residents had to catch a shuttle bus to Callington in order to get to Plymouth.
Now Plymouth Citybus is starting the 12A from September 4 to provide a daily two-hourly link.
The service to and from the city centre, with stops between the centre and the Tamar Bridge, will call at Carkeel, Hatt, St Mellion, St Dominick, Ashton, Callington, Kelly Bray and Downgate.
Details of the timetable are at plymouthbus.co.uk
