New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Cornwall’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Freddies Proper Sweets, at Shop Unit 4, Wharfside Shopping Centre, Market Jew Street, Penzance was handed a two-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 24.

And Ming Kitchen, at 11 Fore Street, Callington, Cornwall was given a score of one on November 24.

It means that of Cornwall's 443 takeaways with ratings, 337 (76%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
