A charity is expecting places for an unusual cycling challenge to be snapped up quickly.

Cornwall Hospice Care has opened booking for the exclusive Mount to Mont Cycle Challenge taking place from October 4 to 8. 

There are just 50 places available for this bespoke event, which has been created specifically for the charity.

Departing from the landmark of St Michael’s Mount and finishing at Mont Saint Michel in Normandy, France, it’s a five-day adventure.

Oliver Hoare, head of fund-raising, said: ‘The route is full of challenging climbs and descents, stunning Cornish and French costal and countryside scenery.  

Registration to guarantee a place is £149 with a minimum sponsorship target of £1,790.
