Two marmoset monkeys have been taken in by the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary, near Looe.
The sanctuary is running a £70,000 appeal to fund enclosures for this species of monkey.
Coco and Kiki are the first marmosets to be rescued by the sanctuary from the UK primate pet trade.
The sanctuary has so far raised more than £30,000 for the enclosures and has renewed its call for more donations.
Representatives from the sanctuary also attended a Houses of Parliament reception calling for a ban on the monkey pet trade.
