After an unsuccessful run of luck this season last Sunday saw Liskeard Under-8s at Ivybridge and they lost, drew and won their three match fixture. The A team played a superior Ivybridge side who dominated throughout despite the improved disciple and passing skills of the visiting team. Unfortunately although resolute in defence Ivybridge won 4-1.

The B team had more success and after conceding two quick tries they consolated their efforts to provide a sound defence. In the second half Liskeard really found their form and after many persistent runs drew the scores at 3-3.

The final fixture saw a select Liskeard side again playing against Ivybridge in a tense battle dominated by fast running and good tackling from both sides. Liskeard triumphed with a last minute try with the score 2-1.

The players were Lucy Demaine, Adam Bainbridge, Thomas Davey, Conner Moran, Jake McKay, Thomas Hancock, Peter Watt, Jack Shepperd, Jack Sandford, Philip Reid, Charlie Brown, Jamie, James De Frame, Thomas De Frame, Carwin Champion. Man of the match was Adam Bainbridge for his strong attacking runs and good tackling. The next match is an away fixture at Truro RFC on Sunday Dec 12.
