Members of the Royal British legion are awarded for their service

Members of the Royal British Legion were awarded for their voluntary services to the poppy appeal on Thursday, March 10, the presentation was for members that could not attend the previous meeting in February.

Branch chairman, Chrissy Haynes awarded Gwen Stevens for 15 years of service and Garfield and Jean Cole for five years. Dave Allen, one of the most prestigious poppy appeal collection members was presented with Royal British Legion’s poppy appeal 30-year award emblem for his volunteer service of 33 years, other members were presented with an award from the Board of Trustees also.
