The May Fair in Saltash is set to return to Fore Street this year – and a full day of fun and attractions is being planned for Saturday, April 30. The annual May Fair has been held on the Warfelton Field for several years, but the new committee has taken the decision to ‘take the fair back to its community roots’ by moving it back to the high street. A ‘village fete’ in Victoria Gardens will feature traditional WI produce, craft competitions and maypole dancing, and there will be live entertainment, pony rides, a battle re-enactment, a dog show and stalls in Longstone Park. Fore Street will be the venue for community groups, stalls and carousel rides, with a stage area also set up for live performances all day.
