The 41st annual Launceston and Callington Ploughing Match is to be held near Launceston this year, at Trevalleet Farm.

The event will take place on Sunday, October 2. There will be entries from across the county, and in previous years has included students from Duchy College, Stoke Climsland and members of local Young Farmers Clubs. The event is organised by the Launceston and Callington Ploughing Association, which is among 250 associations nationwide, and affiliated to the Society of Ploughmen. There will be classes for conventional, reversible and horsedrawn ploughs, as well as classes for vintage tractors.
