A Liskeard man says he is 'absolutely delighted' to have won £6,000 on the tea-time Channel4 show hosted by Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, who have strong connections with South East Cornwall Mark Lister (34), who lives in Connoc Close with his wife Mel and three young children, was chosen on Monday from the many thousands who phone in the hope of getting a chance on 'You Say We Pay.' The idea is to describe objects or famous people that appear on the screen unseen by Richard and his wife so that they can identify them without being given the actual title of the subject. Said Mark, a van driver: 'I didn't know until the last minute that I was actually going to be chosen, except that it was down to the last 40. Then the programme called back and said that I was about to go on live. 'One of the questions involved describing fish and chips without giving the game away, so I said salt and pepper. 'I can't really remember what many of the other questions were, but I got six of them right at £1,000 a time. 'Richard said that they knew Liskeard well, and I know that they come to their home in South East Cornwall frequently.' Mark, who has called the programme a few times before in the hope of getting a place on 'You Say We Pay' says the £6,000 win is by far the biggest he has ever had. He plans to take the family on holiday and possibly organise a 'special treat' for himself and his wife.
