Plans are being drawn up for the visit of the ‘Man Engine’ to Lostwithiel in the summer.

The town council has been discussing how the colossal creation could be accommodated in the town on Wednesday, July 27.

The Man Engine will be making its way through the county in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Cornwall’s Mining World Heritage Sites.

The construction, in the form of a metal miner, is being engineered near Camborne, and will stand at more than 10 metres tall. The council backed the idea of using the Cattle Market car park for the visit, providing the location is judged to be suitable.
