The 49th annual exhibition and sale of art and craft in aid of Cancer Research UK begins in Liskeard Public Hall today.
Organised by the charity’s Liskeard committee, last year’s exhibition raised more than £12,000 for the charity, and down through the years, including their other events, the group has now raised the around £850,000.
The event is being officially launched by the Mayor, Jane Pascoe, at the traditional ‘Opening Night’ this evening.
The exhibition is open from Wednesday, March 8, until Sunday, March 12, from 10am- 7.30pm, apart from Sunday, when the event closes at 3.30pm. Admission is £1.50.
There are refreshments and lunches served each day and on Sunday, from 11am- 2pm there will be a Big Breakfast.
