THE friends and family of eight-year-old Lola Mills think she is a ‘princess’ after she kindly decided to have 17 inches cut from her waist-length hair to donate to Little Princesses, the charity that makes wigs for children who have cancer.

Lola, who attends Landulph Primary School near Saltash, also raised £140, which is being donated to a children’s cancer charity.

Lola’s mum, Karen Mills, said: ‘Lola had been asking for about a year to have her beautiful hair cut, and I have always put her off the idea.

‘However, when she said she wanted to donate her hair to boys and girls who have lost their own through illnesses such as cancer, I felt very proud of her.’
