Liskeard assault

Liskeard police have issued a description of a male they are seeking after an assault on a 19 year old female on Wednesday night, between 11.15pm-11.30pm at the Pengover Park Estate, when she was walking home.

He is said to be white, in his mid 20's and about 5' 9' with an athletic build. Almost bald with a wide chin and designer stubble, he was wearing matching dark blue running shorts and sleeveless vest, and trainers.

Drugs swoop

Four people were arrested in Polperro on Friday under the misuse of drugs act. A quantity of Ecstasy tablets and cannabis resin was seized at the location, a garage used by local youths and police in Looe are continuing their enquiries.

False alarm

A false alarm closed Tregantle Beach, Whitsand Bay, on Friday at around midday on Friday, when two objects, thought to be World War II mines, were spotted.

Coastguards sealed off the beach and an MOD police launch warned other vessels to keep clear. At around 7.00pm, when the tide went out, a bomb disposal team were able to identify the objects as large fishing floats.

Stolen goods

Electrical goods relating to a burglary in Liskeard were recovered from premises in the Looe area on Friday, June 4. Two people were arrested.
