Winners in shop catalogue contest

THE annual competition to design a catalogue for Galvins stationery shop was held recently.

Organised by the art department at Liskeard School, both A-level and GNVQ students were able to take part, providing them with firsthand experience of commercial work.

The £200 prize was shared equally by Ian Cooper whose design was used on the front cover, Lee Fradley whose portfolio provided a variety of work suitable for advertising and promotion, and Amy Collins whose graphic work has already been used in local advertising.

Secret history

THE sculptor in residence at Liskeard school and community college is appealing for contributions from the community - about the secret history of the school. David Westby would like to hear of spooky experiences, superstitions or legends about the school or Liskeard.

Anyone able to help can contact him at the school today or send the facts to the school's art office by lunchtime on Monday.
