THE Dobwalls Family Adventure Park is to sponsor a Dixie bear dance on March 17 for Comic Relief.

The bears Barney, Betty and Bazil, will be dancing throughout the day on a rota system from l0.30am through to 4.30pm.

THE guest at the Liskeard Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Lord Eliot Hotel on Monday was the Conservatives' prospective parliamentary candidate for South East Cornwall, Ashley Gray.

A good number attended the meeting at which matters raised included the climate change levy on businesses, the future of the livestock market in Liskeard, and the prospect of well over l,000 new houses being built in and around the town - as well as the affect on shops by out-of-town development.

At the next Chamber of Commerce meeting, on April 2, members and guests will have the chance to question local MP, Colin Breed.

AN appeal has been made by Mr T Doney regarding a Caradon council refusal of an application for land at Ley Spring, Jubilee Road, Pensilva.

The outline application is for erection of a dwelling. The matter is to be dealt with by the written representation method.
