TWO Jewson South Western League games for Lis-keard in the next five days. Tomorrow (Saturday) (2.30) they visit Newquay and next Wednesday (7.30) entertain Falmouth.

"They are very important games for us", said manager Chris Burchell. "We remain unbeaten in the League and still have a great chance of winning the title despite having suffered the odd cup blip."

The Blues boss is determined to push for top honours and continues his search to bring class players to Liskeard.

"I have three irons in the fire at present", he added. "We have submitted a seven days notice for former Falmouth player Lee Fox and I hope to have a decision with regard the other two within a few days".

Last Saturday Liskeard played a friendly against Westward Development side Newton Abbot Spurs and drew 3-3. Spurs are a useful outfit and gave Liskeard a tough workout. Mark Crowley and Andy Sargent (2) netted the goals. Newcomer Marcus Crocker from Tavistock has looked good in training and will add more punch to the attack. But for tomorrow's match Liskeard will select from their normal squad.

Top scorer Andy Sargent has been the subject of a seven days notice from Bideford but a delighted Chris Burchell was able to report that Sargent remains with Liskeard.

"Jon has badly bruised ribs but no breaks so he should be okay for tomorrow ", he said. For second time this season Collins is the subject of a seven days notice of approach.
