A FIVE-year-old has raised more than £1,300 to help children suffering from cancer – as well as donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust. Lily Fisher from Polruan saw a piece about the charity and decided she wanted to do something to help.

Hairstylist Karen Sorster donated her time to cut 10 inches off Lily’s almost waist-length hair which will be sent to the Trust to help make a wig for a child undergoing cancer treatment. Lily’s mum and dad Michelle and Adrian Fisher and her nine-year-old brother Charlie watched as Karen snipped through Lily’s locks until it became a ‘bob’ just below her chin

Lily is a pupil at Polperro Primary School where there has been a collection box to sponsor her hair cut. A Just Giving page – Lily Fisher’s Hair Donation – can also be found online.
