During the past year or two I have heard and read reference to the Bubble development on the edge of Liskeard. I assumed that this was simply a nickname for the area earmarked for various future projects. It was therefore with shock and dismay that I read the advertisement for the new Focus store, giving its address as Bubbleland Retail Park, Liskeard. Who on earth has decided that this comic book- style name is suitable for a town that is deservedly promoting its image on a long and worthy history. Will Bubbleland appear on the town's heritage trail? Why not the Toll House Retail Park, Island Retail Park after nearby Island Shop, or most suitably Liskerrett Retail Park? Please let some logic and or commonsense prevail.
