I have just returned from one of my many trips to Fowey in Cornwall and have to praise one restaurant in particular (we loved it so much we went twice during our week away). It's called the Bywater Restaurant in Looe and it was absolutely stunning. The food was amazing – delicious and beautifully presented and it really stands out! I'm not in the food industry and certainly no expert, but I have travelled a great deal on both business and pleasure and this is one restaurant that really does deserve the utmost praise. We always go to Padstow, to Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant when we're down in Fowey and yes, it's an experience in itself, but the Bywater is certainly up there with the best. The owners have got the formula for the whole eating out experience perfectly right and the prices were more than reasonable. If you have a food writer, I do thoroughly recommend that he or she pays a visit to the Bywater - you won't be disappointed. I would highly recommend the Bywater to anyone who lives in the area or to visitors to the locality.
