The Cornish Times-sponsored East Cornwall Harriers Primary Schools' Cross-Country League celebrated yet another successful year with its presentation evening
at The Cornish Ivy, Liskeard, which saw many pupils and parents attend.
A fine turnout witnessed the individual winners being presented with their trophies, while shields were awarded
to the team victors. Andy Pyle, sports editor of the Cornish Times, was present to award special
trophies to the Caradon winners of the Junior Schools' Cross-Country Finals at Newquay.
The main awards were presented by Sean Smith of SAS & Trewartha's, who has sponsored the juniors' section of the East Cornwall Harriers by purchasing kit for every junior member of the club.
The competition saw runners running in five events, four to count, and was said to be one of the closest contests since the League's formation.
