A Cornwall Council cabinet member has been criticised for saying a trader complaining about parking charge increases was 'moaning'.

Liskeard optician Andrew Keirl wrote a letter to his local Cornwall councillor, Neil Burden, with his concerns about planned rises in car parking charges.

Cllr Burden passed the comments on to Graeme Hicks, the cabinet member responsible for – among other things – parking charges, who dismissed them in an email reply which he mistakenly also sent to Mr Keirl.
