A sound and vision show is to light up Christmas at the Eden Project.

The Eden Festival of Light and Sound will run from November 25 to December 30 at the home of the world-famous Biomes in Cornwall.

The festival features iy_project, a  new event brought to Eden by light artist Chris Levine and creative partners EdenLAB.

Visitors will be able to step out on to the Eden viewing platform and watch dramatic lasers pierce the darkness to create a canopy of light, painting the Biomes and the plant displays with festive colours.

Eden Festival of Light and Sound will run on selected evenings and include a sound treatment and live performance by musical and vocal talents from across the South West, directed by singer-songwriter Jamie Crowe and choir leader Vicky Abbott.

Festival of Light and Sound performances can be enjoyed at any time between 5pm and 8pm on November 25, 26, 27; December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 and 16-23; and December 27-30 (until 7pm on these dates). No pre-booking for the laser shows is required.

Ice and fire is the planting theme in the Mediterranean Biome this winter, with fiery hot chilli plants and ice cool winter cyclamen.

Eden also offers a programme of relaxed performances for children with autism and sensory or communication needs who may prefer a more informal experience.
