THE Isaac Foot Finals Day at Callington Cricket Club saw semi-finals between the host club's second and third XI teams, followed by Werrington taking on Launceston.
Callington seconds batted first in the first semi-final and lost skipper Jones in the first over, but steady batting from Aiden Libby (25), Luke Davis (24), Joe White (33) and Tony Farrent (40 not out) took the total to 162 for five off their 20 overs.
In reply, Callington's third XI struggled and, after 13 overs, were in deep trouble at 80 for seven.
Things then went from bad to worse, as Jamie Blatchford broke his ankle attempting a sliding stop on the boundary.
