The main road through West Looe is set to be closed for more than a week from today as drainage work is carried out.

A traffic ban will be in place for West Looe Square, Princes Square, Fore Street and West Looe Hill from January 9 to 20.

The main road through Polperro is set to be closed to all traffic for around three weeks from today while maintenance work is carried out.

CORMAC was due to begin resurfacing work today and a traffic order is in place prohibiting vehicular access to The Coombes, Fore Street and Big Green between 9.30am and 4.30pm until Friday, January 27.

Access for emergency vehicles and for those living and working in the village centre will be maintained, says Cornwall Council.

Residents are being advised to liaise with site personnel as to access and exit directions.
