Well-wishers have left hundreds of comments online after a popular Looe restaurateur announced his retirement.
Tafiqual Islam and his family have owned and run the Moonlight Tandoori Indian restaurant for 25 years.
Mr Islam announced via a Facebook post that he and his wife would be taking a break and that the restaurant would be leased to a new family.
Customers of the restaurant and takeaway took to social media to express their sadness to see the Islams leave.
One regular diner wrote: ‘My sons live in Bradford, where there are 160 Indian restaurants, and not one of them is as good as the Moonlight Tandoori.
‘It is not just the food, but the lovely family who have worked so hard through the generations to bring us all wonderful food and atmosphere. You are all much loved in the community.’
Another well-wisher simply said: ‘Thank you for 25 years’ worth of awesome curries and happy memories.’
