CALLINGTON Town made the short trip to local Premier rivals St Dominic and got exactly what they deserved out of this game, "nothing". They started brightly and could have gone in front. Dean Martin raced through midfield but his shot from 18 yards was stopped by the feet of the keeper.
Minutes later Williams brought out a fine save from the keeper, again his right footed shot seemed to be heading towards the top corner but was tipped over the bar.
On 25 minutes a Truscott header hit the bar which bounced back down into the six yard box but Craddick was on hand to clear. St Dominic started to play some good football from this point, but were a little disappointing in the last third. The second period was a different matter.
St Dominic came out more determined and worked a lot harder for each other and soon took the lead. A fine run from Chris Woods, wide right delivered a perfect cross for Bradley whose diving header went in off the under side of the bar. 20 minutes later it was two. Woods found himself 18 yards out with his back to goal.
He turned and his right footed shot found the bottom right corner. Callington had it all to do now and with time running out began to push St Dominick on the back foot and with minutes remaining a fine solo goal from Williams beating two defenders his left footed shot found the bottom corner. But just as Callington thought they could get something from the game, two mistakes cost them dearly as they allowed Gregory to go past the keeper on two occasions to make the final score 4-1.
Manager Paul Blatchford was very disappointed with his sides performance. We were poor in every department today, but fair do's to St Dominic they battled for everything and deserved to win.

THIS game was arranged a the last minute due to the cancellation of most of the Duchy League programme.
With a gale force wind making life difficult for both sides it was never going to be a pretty game.
Both sides battled hard but neither could gain the advantage until a curling corner was met by Francis Cater who headed home to give Dobwalls the leads.
On the half hour a poor clearance found Jon Govan who chipped the stranded stand-in keeper Dave Skews to level. Martin Polatch regained the lead for the Premier league side just before the break when he found the target with a header.
In the second half the scores remained the same until on the hour Johnny Niblett unleashed a thunderbolt from twenty five yards that gave the keeper no chance to extend the lead.
Darren Harvey came on as substitute to make his debut and with his first touch laid on a perfect pass for Martin Polatch to make it four.
The home side reduced the arrears just before the end direct from a free kick which made the final score respectable for the division three side who can feel proud of themselves for a gritty performance.
The man of the match award went to Johnny Niblett for a fine all round display although a couple of others pushed him hard.
