St Austell Brewery has donated £7,000 to the Cornwall Air Ambulance.
The donation, from the Brewery’s Charitable Trust, will enable the air ambulance to purchase a new epoch blood analysis system. This enables paramedics to conduct an immediate and comprehensive analysis of patient’s blood samples to support their diagnosis and begin early treatment.
The equipment will be available on the Critical Care Cars and the new AW169 air ambulance helicopter for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, which is due to fly from April 2020.
The Charitable Trust was set up by St Austell Brewery in 2003, to provide a focus for the company’s charitable activities. It has raised over £800,000 to help local causes and charities throughout the South West.
