Air Ambulance ‘bug’ toys will be landing at Oak Tree Surgery in Liskeard in time for a coffee morning on Friday, September 23.

The event, which is being organised by the surgery’s Patient Participation Group (PPG) in support of the Cornwall Air Ambulance, is to run from 10am to 12 noon.

It will offer the chance to find out more about two important aspects of local health care.

Alongside refreshments, cake, and home-made jams and chutneys will be information about the work the air ambulance does.

Chairman of the Patient Participation Group, Penny Prisk says the morning will highlight the role of the PPG within the practice.

She said: ‘Our health service is in a period of massive change, and patients can be involved in local, regional and even national health matters by joining their own practice Patient Participation Group.

‘Each PPG is an important voice providing invaluable knowledge, advice and experience from our direct involvement in the NHS.’
