A DOLL’S house builder is turning his hand to a completely new task as he does his bit to help local health care workers. Mark Wilcox realised that he could use the laser cutter in his Liskeard workshop to produce much-needed protective visors. Having set up a crowdfunding account on a Sunday, by the Wednesday local people had donated £1,150 and the first lot of plastic had already been delivered. Mark has wasted no time and has already supplied visors to several care homes in Looe and Liskeard and to a local chemist.

‘It’s gone absolutely haywire,’ said Mark, ‘people are seeing it online and sharing it and the news is spreading.’ Mark, who has traded out of the Liskeard Business Park for 20 years, says his visors are completely free of charge to care workers or key workers and are not for retail.
