A cook book has been launched this week as part of Addaction Cornwall’s Life Skills Week.
The book is packed with easy to follow recipes that can help cut down your shopping bill as well as helpful tips and ideas.
All money raised from the sale of the book will be used to continue to run the cooking groups that run across the county, teaching Addaction clients cooking skills to keep themselves and their families healthy without breaking the bank.
Addaction is the leading charity in the UK providing support to those affected by their own or someone else’s substance misuse.
Put together by members of the cooking groups, it was launched at Addaction’s services in Liskeard and Redruth with a Cooking for Colleagues event. Plenty of the recipes in the book were tried out during the event, which saw fellow service users and staff tuck in to the tasty offerings.
The book is available at all Addaction services in Redruth, Penzance, Truro, St Austell, Liskeard and Bodmin for a donation.
Life Skills Week is promoting and celebrating the work that takes place in the drug and alcohol service to support people to develop skills, confidence and support networks to help with moving away from addiction and into recovery.
