Another Cornish care home has been rated as ’inadequate’ in four out of five key areas by the watchdog the Care Quality Commission.
Cornwall Council says a robust action plan has been put in place at Highermead in Camelford, where 16 people live.
The owner, Ark Care Services, has apologised and says it’s working with the CQC and Cornwall Council.
The news follows last week’s BBC Panorama programme which focused on standards of care at homes run by the Morleigh Group in Callington and St Austell, in the wake of which other Morleigh homes at Lostwithiel and Par were criticised.
