Caring comes naturally for one Callington woman who plans to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust.

Maria Andrews, 49, is to have at least 12 inches of her waistlength red hair cut off to be made into a wig for a child undergoing treatment for cancer.

The mother of four, a senior carer at Callington’s Hillsborough residential care home, says she has been wanting to donate her hair for some time.

With the date set for June 28 at Plush hair salon in Callington, Maria is ready, though a little nervous, as she says the last time she had a short style was almost 30 years ago.
